Day 01 : Arrival in Chennai
Arrive in Chennai – the capital and largest city of Tamil Nadu. It is gateway of South India Tour. Upon arrival at Chennai Airport, South India Travel Tourism representative will receive you with warm welcome and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 02 : Chennai – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram – Chennai
Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Later enjoy full day excursion trip to two famous nearby pilgrimage and tourist places namely – Kanchipuram and Mahabalipuram. On time return back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Major attractions to see in Kanchipuram include Kamakshi Amman Temple, Kanchi Kamakshi Temple, Ekambaranatha Temple, Kailasanathar Temple, Varadaraja Temple, Devarajaswami Temple, etc.

Major attractions to see at Mahabalipuram include Shore Temple, Varaha Cave, Arjuna Penance, Panch Pandava Rathas, Krishna Rock Cut Temple, Dharamraj Cave, etc.

Day 03 : Chennai – Madurai
Have very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Later proceed for sightseeing tour of Chennai seeing famous pilgrimage places like Kapaleeshwarar Temple, Parthasarathy Temple, Marundeeswarar Temple, Varasiddhi Vinayaka Temple, Yoga Siddhi Vinayagar Temple, St Fort George, St Mary’s Church, St Andrew’s Church, etc. Later catch flight to Madurai. Marudai is the second largest city of Tamil Nadu. On arrival in Madurai, South India Travel Tourism representative will transfer you to the hotel. Wash, change and relax. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 04 : Madurai
Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy sightseeing tour of Madurai. Visit the famous Meenakshi Amman Temples and see its magnificent gopurams. Also visit the Vishnu Temple, Palamudhirsolai (the abode of Lord Subramanya), Kazimar Big Mosque, Thirumalai Nayak Palace, Gandhi Museum, etc. Witness Aarati ceremony held at the temple and later enjoy Sound & Light Show in evening in the premise of temple complex. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 05 : Madurai – Rameshwaram
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu. On arrival in Rameshwaram, South India Travel Tourism representative will transfer you to the hotel. Wash, change and relax. Later proceed for local sightseeing tour of Rameshwaram. Rameshwaram is an island town in Tamil Nadu. It is one of the most famous pilgrimage centers for Hindus. According to legend, it is the place where Lord Rama worshiped Lord Shiva and then built a bridge on the sea to reach Sri Lanka to rescue his consort Sita from her abductor Ravana. It is often called as the Varanasi of South India. Major visitors’ attractions in this holy town are Rameshwaram Temple, Ramapadm (Footsteps of Lord Rama), Ramarpaadham Temple, Lakshman Theertham, Sita Kund, Floating Stones (Hanuman Temple), Corridor of 1000 Pillars, etc. Relax at beach in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 06 : Rameshwaram – Kanyakumari
Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Later drive to Kanyakumari located on the southern most part of India in Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is one of the most sought after pilgrimage centers for Hindus. It is also sometimes referred to as Cape Comorin. Apart from religious significance it is also known for its beautiful beaches and sunrise and sunset. Upon arrival in Kanyakumari, South India Travel Tourism representative will transfer you to the hotel. Freshen up and relax. Later proceed for sightseeing tour of Kanyakumari seeing attractions like Kanyakumari temple, Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Gandhi Mandapam, Thiruvalluvar Statue, etc. Enjoy sunset view over the sea in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 07 : Kanyakumari – Trivandrum – Departure
See the spectacular view of sunrise from Kanyakumari beach. After hearty breakfast at the hotel, South India Travel Tourism representative will transfer you to Trivandrum Airport to board flight for home / onward destination.
