Day 01 : Arrival in Chennai
Arrive in Chennai – the capital city of Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
It is the gateway of south India tour. On arrival, South India Travel
Tourism representative will receive you from Chennai Airport and then
transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Later enjoy
an orientation walk of Chennai city visiting Fort St George, Kapaleeshwarar
Temple, Snake Park and Marina Beach. Dinner and overnight stay will be
at the hotel.
Day 02: Chennai – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram
Take delicious breakfast served at the hotel. Drive to Kanchipuram. See
many Hindu temples which are architecturally beautiful. Also visit a local
silk weaving centre. Kanchipuram is world famous for its silk sarees and
clothes. Continue your drive to Mahabalipuram. Reach and check-in at the
hotel. Relax at beach. See the Shore Temple and Rock Cut Temples. Also
see the spectacular sunset view. Dinner and overnight stay will be at
the hotel.
Day 03 : Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry
Take delicious breakfast served at the hotel. Drive to the former French
colony of Pondicherry, which with its whitewashed buildings and coastal
promenades exudes an almost Mediterranean atmosphere. Reach Pondicherry.

to the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. In the afternoon visit
the Yoga and Spiritual Centre of Sri Aurobindo Ashram. Dinner and overnight
stay will be at the hotel.
Day 04 : Pondicherry – Tanjore
Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Travel inland to Tanjore, stopping
en route to explore some of the regions temples, including the impressive
Gangaikondacholapuram and Darasuram temples. Reach Tanjore. On arrival,
South India Travel Tourism representative will transfer you to the pre-booked
hotel. Freshen up and relax. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the
hotel.
Day 05 : Tanjore – Madurai
Take delicious breakfast served at the hotel. After breakfast visit the
Rock Fort and Srirangam Temples. Continue drive to Madurai, the oldest
inhabited city in India and home to some of the most incredible temples.
Madurai is the second largest city of Tamil Nadu and famous for Meenakshi
Amman Temple. Reach Madurai. On arrival, South India Travel Tourism representative
will transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Dinner
and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 06 : Madurai
Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Today enjoy a visit to Sri
Meenakshi temple and Thirumalai Nayak Palace. Spend rest of the day at
leisure. In the evening attend at Aarati Ceremony held at the Meenakshi
Temple Complex. Also enjoy Sound & Light Show in the premise of the
temple complex. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 07 : Munnar
Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Munnar. Munnar is
a picturesque hill station in Kerala and often called the Kashmir of South
India. It is known for its lush serene beauty and relaxed atmosphere and
scenic landscapes. It is also known for lush and aromatic tea and spice
plantations. Reach Munnar. On arrival, South India Travel Tourism representative
will transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Explore
tea plantations and relax at picturesque locations. Dinner and overnight
stay will be at the hotel.
Day 08 : Munnar – Kottayam – Alleppey
Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Kottayam to board
a luxury houseboat sailing over the serene and scenic backwaters of Kerala,
God’s Own Country. Cruise backwaters in the direction of Alleppey. Dinner
and overnight will be in the houseboat.
Day 09 : Alleppey – Kumarakom
After breakfast on board disembark the houseboat at Alleppey. Drive to
Kumarakom located on the periphery of the picturesque Vembanad Lake. Reach
and check-in at the backwater resort. Enjoy boat ride on the Vembanad
Lake in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the resort.
Day 10 : Kumarakom – Cochin
Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Cochin now known as
Kochi. Kochi is an important city of Kerala. It is also the commercial
capital of Kerala. It is popularly known as the Queen of Arabian Sea.
Reach Cochin. On arrival, South India Travel Tourism representative will
transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Later proceed
for sightseeing tour of Kochi covering churches, mosques & synagogues;
traditional Chinese fishing nets and colonial architecture. Major attractions
include Fort Kochi, Mattancherry Dutch Palace, St Francis Church, Hill
Palace Complex, Bolghatty Palace, Chinese Fishing Nets, Jewish Synagogue,
Jew Street, Spice Market, etc. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the
hotel.
Day 11 : Kochi – Departure
Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. On time South India Travel
Tourism representative will transfer you to the Kochi International Airport.
Take flight back to your home / onward destination with sweet memories
